Missionary Mom

These last few days have been kind of tough.... It has been said that they are bitter sweet. That's for sure!!!!! I am so proud of Shelby for the decision she has made to dedicate 18 months of her life to serving the Lord. We had a conversation about a week ago about how she knew that it was the right time and the right thing to do. She could have stayed and continued her work and education, but she knows that she will be blessed for making this choice. I have all the confidence that she will be an amazing missionary.

I am so proud of Shelby! I can't believe she is gone! She will be an amazing missionary and will have so many experiences to make her grow spiritually. You have done a great job raising a righteous daughter/family and will be blessed!

Yay! An update!!! I love all the pictures! It makes so happy and so sad for you at the same time. Bitter Sweet for sure! I am so happy for Shelby and can't wait to hear about the lives she is able to change! As hard as that looks I look forward to that day and hope and pray that we are there someday with our kids! Moments like this (and many others of course!) are what makes all of the hard work as a parent worth it! Lets just hope I don't give up by the time Jaxson is 4... jk but really, what a wonderful time for you and your family. I will be watching for another update!

I know about the bitter sweet, it is so true. When Jake was out I couldn't think of a place I would rather he be, but you sure miss them. I know you and your family will all be blessed because of her choice to go though. It will get easier as time goes on and you start getting all the letters about all she is doing. Keep us updated on her experiences.
