Okay... So here is my very first blogging experience.
This week I had one of my most embarrassing moments in life. So a little back ground before I share. Some of the... well most all of the women at work have been doing some kind of exercising. We have this great little support system going. Lacy (our marketing gal who looks great!) talked us into trying this new exercise program. It is called CrossFit. Here is a link if anyone is interested http://www.crossfitcachevalley.com/. So a few us from the office have been going to it. It kicks my butt!!!! It is extremely intense and you feel like you are going to hurl every time you go. I relate it to child birth...while you are going through it you don't ever want to do it again, but somehow you forget your vow and do it again.
Now that I'm 40 something, not quite as fit as I use to be, having added a few pounds, and I have been exercise free for about 3 years now, I knew that I needed to something drastic. I have been going for about a month now. I keep thinking that this has got to get better, but I can't get over the sore muscle thing. My muscles are just exhausted. I wouldn't say that my muscles hurt, but they are just tired. So here is the rest of the story.......
Wednesday I was minding my own business just typing away. I have a tendency to sit on the edge of my chair. Well, I decided to scoot back in my chair and as I lifted my tush off the seat of my chair, my skirt caused me to slid a little. Well that little tiny bit of slip caused my chair to roll backwards. I'm not exactly sure what happened next, but I knew that if I didn't do something I would end up somewhere I didn't want to go. I reached out to grab my desk with one hand and my chair with the other, but because my muscles were so sore, I didn't have the strength to catch myself. Yup!!! I landed right on the floor (I was told that I did it very graceful though). I am so thankful for co-workers who are concerned about my well being. They all busted out laughing!!! RUDE! I don't usually turn red when I am embarrassed, but this time I did. I laughed until my stomach hurt. I got an ab workout that was actually fun.
The moral of the story.... work with people who help you laugh at yourself. It makes the embarrassing moments hurt less. Thanks guys!!!

lol ~ you gotta hate it when things like that happen but it good to be able to laugh with everyone. Where is that at? Is it like an aerobic class or do you do it by yourself? How much it is a month? I have been going to the gym but I am not good at pushing myself... anyway, I am so happy to see a POST!!! Can't wait to see more!
